Dear CCC Congregants and Friends of CCC,
We are sad to announce that Frank and Katie Lucas have decided to move out of their staff roles at CCC for a time of rest, reflection, and for Frank to eventually consider other opportunities. This news comes on the heels of Frank taking the last month to pursue both personal and professional development considerations. Frank and Katie have met with both our staff and our elders to process their decision. We know this was a difficult decision for them to make as they consider God’s call on their lives as well as what is in the best interest of their family, our church, as well as Frank’s career pathway.
The Lucas’ have attended CCC for fourteen years and both have served in various staff roles for the past nine years. Most recently Katie has served as Family Ministries Coordinator and Frank has served as our Family Ministries Pastor. We want to sincerely and wholeheartedly thank Frank and Katie for all the invaluable, passionate, and kingdom impacting ministry at CCC. They have served God and our church family extraordinarily well and we will be eternally grateful.
Frank will take some time to share his heart with us this Sunday (11/15) at our live 9 am gathering. Frank will also be meeting with our Students next Wednesday night (11/18) to share with them as well. We are also continuing to brainstorm an opportunity for our church to gather to celebrate their wholehearted servant-leadership among us during this socially distanced season.
We anticipate an ongoing friendship with the Lucas family, and they will always be welcome to visit any of our services—and we will look forward to inviting Frank to preach in the days ahead.
With grateful hearts,
Pastor Gregg and the CCC Elders
